Chiangmai on the northern part of Thailand has been very popular among tourists from western nations. The winter climate in this province is cooler than in places like Bangkok. Hills and mountains abound in Chiangmai, beautiful gardens and fruit farms and some very old temples are some of the places worth visiting in this northern province of Thailand. The moderate climatic conditions in this region of Thailand is suitable for growing vegetables, fruits and flowers. The flower and botanical show held in 2006 was one of the attractions of Chiangmai. Flowers and plants from all over the world were assembled and displayed in a mind boggling landscape. With a massive base of skilled farmers and gardners, the show was a great attraction.
